We proudly present you with a new release of 2.5.1.b2 for our Enterprise Server.
This is an upgrade that includes new features and functional enhancements. Such as:

Usability improvements including automatic placement of the pointer in the first field of the login form and in other to-be-filled forms and dialog boxes.
A new Reboot ES & Shutdown menu item has been added to the System > Utilities submenu. This will allow you to easily Reboot or Shut Down the Enterprise Server without any chance of losing your data or damaging the settings.

Operability and Stability Improvements of the Enterprise Server include the following.

• Improved work of the Up Filter used to search for appliances in the Online state.
• Improved content module removal on page 2 of the Content Library.
• Accidental redirect to the first page with the list of content modules was patched.
• Improved content module sorting in the sequence.
• Improved display of sequence items in an alphabetic order.
• Improved display of statuses on the Task Request page.
• The processing logic of the empty reply from server during the status update has been enhanced.
• Improved detection of file duration for video files uploaded to the ES.
• Incorrect redirect from the login page has been patched.
• Improved work of the RPN Mobility schedule after the registration of a new appliance.

New updates of Adaptive Signage for RPN Smart Players include stability and functionality enhancements.

Hardware functionality

New RPN Mini 1120 – was added to the model line of RPN Smart Players. A new RPN Mini 1120 is an entry-level model manufactured especially for those who value small size and advanced functionality.

The number of supported sensors was increased for Interactive and Advanced Editions. Now you can install up to 10 sensors on RPN Smart Players with Interactive Edition, and up to 20 sensors on RPN Smart Players with Advanced Edition.

Reporting Features

Legends for scales Event QTY and Total QTY were added to the reports.

New By Day tab was added for the Area Comparison report. So now you can view the detailed report for a selected day.

AS Smart Players v 3.6.0.b4 include:

• Improved log export on the pages of Area and Product Comparison reports. All the collected data are unloaded to a CSV-file now.
• Improved display of font on white background in the schedule table.
• Improved export of events to a CSV-file. Now there is no discrepancy between the number of detected events and the number of events exported to a CSV-file.
• Improved export of product data to a CSV-file.

 AS Smart Players v 3.6.0.b3 include:

• Improved work of Inactive Time.
• Improved display of SKU update time.
• Improved display of Visitor Traffic Performance report.
• Improved display of the Total Customers Served by Reason of visit report.
• The path to the Logging Configuration was substituted by the link to it on the Ambient Sensors page.

 AS Players v 3.6.0.b2 include:

• Improved triggering of the Product Placed Back event on a light sensor.
• Improved counter reset in dashboards. In reports the number of events is not reset.
• After the formatting of user flash card – the default NYC Time zone is applied.
• Improved triggering of camera events with the enabled State Management.
• Improved playback of an audio sequence on the audio channel not enabled for playback.
• RPN Mini 1120 with the connected USB-module allows you to play back sound.

Overall Features 

This version of Adaptive Signage is remarkable for the following features:

        • impressive performance: RPN Smart Players can operate much faster than the previous version of players. It was achieved after the database optimization;

        • optimized contextual tracking: the sensor system was expanded at the expense of the RFID sensors that allow you to track the employees’ activity during the working day;

        • friendly user interface: the web-interface was maximally optimized for intuitive management of RPN Player;

        • expanded reporting: new reports – Employee Presentation Activity and Visitor Traffic Performance - were added to the Reporting System. 

State Management

State Management allows you to use RPN Players as a double-purpose system. The two-state system creates excellent facilities for managing and controlling RPN Players. The basis of the system is the complex interconnected system of RFID Reader and RFID tags that allow RPN Player to operate in two different ways.

The system of State Management includes the following components:

1) RFID Reader – the sensor-device that detects RFID tags that are brought in close proximity to it and returns the tag identification number;

2) RFID card – plastic card with the unique RFID tag;

3) RFID key fob – key fob with the unique RFID tag. RFID key fob can be used as an alternative to the RFID card;

4) RPN Player – the processing platform of the commands from the RFID Reader and RFID tags.

RPN Player operating in the Public state can play back the content of general interest.  Operating in the Employee state RPN Player can show the detailed tutorials about the displayed goods or services. The change of state is fulfilled by means of RFID tags that are installed on special cards and key fobs. Now there is no need to interrupt in the normal work of RPN Player just to display some video content, enable the State Management and let your player to parallel the performed actions. One moment and the RPN Player will save a plenty of your time and do much more things than you can imagine. User can have a different set of triggers for each state.

The State Management can be also used as a tracking system for monitoring the activity of your employees in promoting the goods and services.

New RPN Smart Players 

The three new models were produced to satisfy the most exacting customers. They include:

• RPN 1200 (RPN Mini) - the baseline model with great ambitions and excellent performance. This  model provides the excellent Adaptive Signage functionality for the reasonable price;

• RPN 1070U (RPN Unity 17") – a new 17-inch Unity model that provides perfect opportunities for broadcasting Adaptive Signage content and using Contextual Tracking functionality;

• RPN 1090U (RPN Unity 19") – a new 19-inch Unity model that provides the superb Adaptive Signage functionality through the large and interactive display.

The models RPN 1070U and 1090U with Core2Quad on board will make even an impossible task real.

Playback Enhancement

RPN DUO Dual Channel and RPN Mini Enhanced now support the display of Ticker on both channels, so now you needn’t to think what channel to use just select a proper layout with Ticker and relax.

Video file format *.MP4 is completely supported by the current version of RPN Players. So you needn’t to use any third-party software to convert your video content with the correct video container, just upload a MP4-file to RPN Player and use it for your business sake.

RPN Players now support the feature of Video Acceleration that enables to speed up even the bitratest video file. So you needn’t to pay money for the top models, even baseline models will cope with your video content.

New option ‘Protected from Removal’ will prevent the accidental deletion of your content from RPN Player as the result of the careless actions of some person. So you needn’t to be worried about your content, just check the checkbox and your content will be safely stored on RPN Player.

The system of automatic monitor resolution detection will save you from manual setting of the resolution. Connect just your monitor or TV to the RPN Player and let it detect the proper resolution. We are sure that it will succeed.

RPN 1070U and RPN 1090U as a substitution for 1050U will provide you with the accurate interactive functionality and excellent playback features.

New channel layouts Wide Double (left and right) create ideal conditions for broadcasting video content on your wide screen. Now you needn’t to adjust video files to the proportions of your monitor or TV.

Now users can simultaneously edit one sequence. So you needn’t to wait till the other will save his changes.

Hardware  

RPN Smart Players now support both versions of alarm charges, so now you can use any device that suits you best.

The problem of simultaneous output of video on both video interfaces – HDMI and VGA – was resolved. Now you needn’t to be afraid that some content will not be broadcast.

Logging

The system of Logging was remade and optimized. The uploading of logs is exercised in a three-minute interval, so now even a bit of information will not be lost. Log Cleaner will perform the precise and rapid cleaning of log-files on your RPN Player.

Improved Interface

The web-interface was improved to optimize the work with RPN Players. All the sensor options can be managed in one form.

The function of restart and shutdown of RPN Player was moved to the separate menu tab.

Contextual Network allows you to check the accessibility of the remote RPN Player in the configuration window. So you can easily learn whether the specified settings are correct.

New Reports

Reporting System was expanded at the expense of the Visitor Traffic Performance report and Employee Presentation Activity report.

Visitor Traffic Performance report displays the detailed information about the event types (Area Appearance, Area Quick Visit, Area Extended Visit) and their quantity detected by Traffic Contextual sensors in the defined areas. So you can easily compare the traffic figures and on its basis to promote your goods and services  in the right and effective way.

Employee Presentation Activity displays the detailed information about the quantity of times when the employees changed the state of RPN Player from the Public to Employee state. This report type allows you to monitor the activity of  employees who promote some products or services by means of RPN Player.

Queue Management System

Queue Management System (QMS) is a newly designed software that enables the usage of RPN Smart Players as a platform for monitoring and managing the customer queue.

QMS enables the accurate management through:

       • magnificent and effective organization of the customers’ queue;

       • entertaining the customers by the playback of media content;

       • promoting your goods and services by the playback of Digital Signage;  

       • survey conduct for learning the customers' preferences.

QMS saves time and money in services rendering. No need to buy any special hardware, just install the necessary software (RPN Control Pad) on your tellers' computers and activate the QMS mode on your RPN Smart Players. The QMS network will do everything itself.

New RPN Smart Players

The three new models were produced to satisfy the most exacting customers. They include:

• RPN 2100 - the middle-segment model to provide the excellent Adaptive Signage functionality for the reasonable price;

• RPN 2200 - the upper-segment model to provide the perfect Adaptive Signage and Contextual Tracking functionality;

• RPN 4000 - the top-segment model to provide the superb Adaptive Signage functionality through the first-class Customer Interaction and magnificent level of Contextual Tracking.

Playback

The Media Info system will automatically detect and display the media information about any video or audio file. There is no necessity to use the third-party software to learn the information about the file, e.g bitrate, container , resolution and etc. RPN Smart Players will easily provide you with the exact information about the uploaded file.

 The new video file format *.M4V was added to the large number of the supported video and audio formats.

The enhanced system of media management will provide you with the better content managing functions.

Narrow Door Kit

The functionality of Narrow Door Kit was expanded. So user can manually choose in the interface the proper port for connecting IR sensor to the contextual sensor controller. If IR sensor was accidentally plugged into the incorrect port, user can easily change it for the right one without any pause or interruption in the work of RPN Smart Players.

New Hardware Support

The new version of Alarm Charge will provide your displayed products with the increased security and supreme system of customer interaction tracking. RPN 1050U now acquires the support of Alarm Charge Controller too!!!

Miscellaneous Features

The new system of the Font Initialization will help you to avoid the unnecessary restart of your PRN Smart Player to make your fonts active. In the current version of RPN Players the initialization of the fonts occurs simultaneously with the initialization of the RPN Smart Player. After the initialization the user has a default set of the fonts that can be immediately used. If you want to use new fonts, just upload them to your RPN Player and Activate. They will be automatically detected and used in your further work.

In the current version of RPN Players new types of reports were designed.

Now user can compare areas with the help of Comparative Area Reports by Total Traffic.

New chart types were added which allow you to see all types of events  for the definite area and to compare them by Total Traffic.

Contextual Event Counters support a quick report by Total Traffic.

New Edition

The current version of RPN Players can be supplied with a new Edition – Interactive Lite. The main features of this edition: 

• Support of 5 Contextual Sensors

• Log Storage for 14 days
